Wow What a Day ! The N. Highlands Chapter of BCHWV and the Mid-Atlantic Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts (MORE) banded together on a project to upgrade the Tuscarora / Rt 55 Trailhead. As is evident from these photos there was MUCH energy and effort and MUCH was accomplished! The ground work was laid for the next phase of installation of informational signage (that will include Maps, FS regs, LNT and BCH information) 2 benches, a waterproof map case and a hitching rail. These two BCHNC galleries have been included for inspiration. This is a 1 year old chapter who is packing trail gear in and out for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy on the Appalachian Trail in the Smoky Mountains. The ATC calls this partnership "invaluable."
